How Blogging has changed my life!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 

I was chatting it up with Alicia, Brew Mama, complaining because I had no idea what to write about for today. Its Halloween and first thing i should have thought of was something for Halloween, but just not an option. I am not passing out candy now, trick or treating not moved because of weather. Delaney is with her mom, we didn't carve pumpkins, I didn't bake anything, haven't dressed up in years. Basically i am being a Halloween Debby downer. 

So instead I thought i would get a little serious and sentimental on the blog today! 

I have started and stopped a blog multiple times in the past couple of years! I started "Lady Luck" back in February and have been an active blogger ever since. I started off with the wrong mind set about blogging, i wanted a lot of followers, a lot of page views, people to pay to be on my blog as a sponsor.  i got involved in  A LOT OF giveaways just to get followers. So now i have just over 300 followers on bloglovin' and I know hardly any of them READ my blog and COMMENT. 

I slowly but surely figured out that is not what i wanted to do with my blog. I wanted to be able to write and share about my everyday life and meet new people. Once i finally got the correct mindset, i started meeting some amazing bloggers, made some true connections and have developed some awesome friendships.  

I do not work(for now), just go to school full time and I have a lot on my plate with other things so blogging and my blogger friends are my escape from the world or a place i get vent and not be judged. I just got a whole new make over of my blog and i am loving it, it makes me feel so much better about my blog and I just want to show it off! 

I love blogging, i have my loyal readers and so enjoy doing my weekly link ups i do. I love signing up for swaps and getting things in the mail from other readers. Blogging has most def. changed my life and for the better, i will continue to do it until i just have no heart left in it and i don't see that happening anytime soon. 

Thank you so much to those who read and enjoy reading about my everyday life, i am a random blogger and love to share, sometimes too much, but that's just who i am! I will always be real and honest!!

Now on to what i am Saying SO WHAT to.....

SO WHAT IF....

- I have almost all this week and next weeks homework done, i get a trip to Tenn. next weekend and going to ENJOY IT!!!

- I have my days where I do not get out of my pj's

- I slept until Noon on Tuesday, I must have needed it.

- I am dragging Tevis to yet another photo session this weekend, its with my side of the family this time. I am sad we cant include Delaney but maybe next year.

- my DVR is always full of shows, i am a TV junkie.

- I may not get to decorate full out for Christmas, we have an ornery puppy, haha

- I know we live in a decent neighborhood but i want a security system SO BAD, it will help me sleep better at night

- I can't get over my addiction with Diet Mountain Dew.

- I know i need to start taking my daily vitamins, yet i still dont.

- I love my new design a little too much, its well over do and looks great. I feel so much better about my blog now!

SO Never ever ever....

- will I stop posting pictures of my puppy Storm on IG, Shes too darn cute. You know you love seeing her

- will I get over my fear of the dark. I have night lights ALL over my house. 

- will I stop caring what others think of me. Its a weakness i have and no control over. I am too sensitive

- will I use alcohol has an excuse. I have had too many in and out of my life that use alcohol for all the wrong reasons and are terrible people for that. 

- will I regret my decisions 3 years ago, it led me to where I am now. HAPPY. 

- would I move again. Too much work, haha

- will I open my house up to people who don't care

- would I eat olives. OMG so gross! 

- will I let not having a baby ruin my life. Whatever happens, happens.

I got partnered up with the very lovely Becky from Mommy Trilogy. I love "meeting" new people and getting connected with new people. Her blog is shared with another momma but i love reading about their lives. I will continue to read her blog and I know i wont ever be disappointed. It was fun getting to know her little bit through e-mailing.

Becky was so thoughtful when it came to my package. When i opened up my letter i seen a Starbucks gift card, that made my whole day! I went on to look what else I got, and i was in shock, it was the cutest Halloween costume for Storm. I will show ya a couple pictures of trying to get it on her, haha. Shes a 4 month of puppy who wiggles and tries to take it off, but i loved it. Tevis loved the costume and thought it was awesome for Becky to think of Storm. I haven't decided i am passing out candy yet. I will most definitely put her in her costume though :)

5 on Friday

I am so glad it is Friday, my weekend is going to be pretty great. The only BAD thing is i need to finish my coding class homework but i will get it done i always do. 

I hope everyone has had a great week and has some fun things to do over the weekend. 

-I am linking up for 5 on Friday.... :) My best friend Megan and my nephew Tucker are coming to see Tevis and I this weekend. She is staying the night Saturday. She has requested cheesecake factory, so we are doing that for lunch and I want to make her a yummy steak dinner, she is excited. Megan is expecting her second baby next month, my 2nd niece :) i am so excited for her. Megan is very special to me and has a big place in my heart. When i split from my ex-husband she was one of the very few that stuck by my side and never judged me. I am so ready to show her my house and spend time quality time with her. 

- Sunday we are doing family pictures with Tevis' moms side of the family. We are being brave and bringing Storm for out little family picture. It will be a nice tradition to start and shes apart of our family :) && next weekend we are going to my parents house for some big family news and family pictures. I cant wait to SEE MY NIECE!!!! Cant wait to show you all our family pictures. Below is three photos from last year :)

- So i have been back in College since September 23rd 2012. I should be graduating December 20th, 2014. and Let me tell you... I AM READY TO BE DONE!!! I take 3 classes each 12 week semester, and that is considered full time. I can not imagine doing 4 or 5 like most students are doing, i spend hours and hours on school work. I am so thankful i am in a place in my life where I do not have to work and I can just focus on school. I am so thankful for Tevis. As soon as this semester is over i have a two week break and I cannot wait. I am a little worn out with school but i gotta stay positive and keep trucking on. When i graduate i will have so may people proud of me and be able to finally start my career! WISH ME LUCK

- Christmas is just around the corner, money might not the best for us this year and christmas gifts are going to be limited but i am excited to have family all around to spend it with. I am mostly excited to decorate my house with Christmas decorations, i am actually a little sad i wont be able to put a tree up because of our ornery puppy Storm, but we will see. We are going for a non traditional tree. White with blue lights and all sports themed, Colts, Yankees, Michigan Wolverines. It'll make Tevis happy and that's all that matters to me :) I love making our own tradition! Tevis and I wont be giving christmas gifts to each other this year, which is hard for both of us. We decided that if money is ok we get all dressed up make a reservation and have dinner at St. Elmos downtown Indy. Which if anyone knows is Peyton Mannings favorite place and I think he owns some of it or put money into it. Not completely positive, but its a great place to eat, and not cheap!

- Lastly, i hope everyone who signed up for the Friendly Fall Swap enjoyed getting to "meet" someone new and getting a pretty awesome package in the mail :) I love swaps and cant wait to read everyone's post on what they got next week. Maybe we will do another one if we get the same amount sign ups and feedback! Stay tuned for that!!

Never to late, thankful Thursday Link Up!

YES I AM late to posting today but at least I am :) 

I love Thursdays! We have weekly dinner with a couple of  our best friends, i enjoy their company so much. 

I love doing Link Ups, it gives me something to write about and share, instead of babbling on and sometimes I "meet" new people :) 

I am Thankful for....

- for all the people who welcomed me with open arms in Tevis' life.

- that Tevis is still with me to this day, he almost died on me almost 2 years ago. 

- my health. As far as i know i am pretty healthy

- My family being so supportive for moving little over 2 hours away

- i am thankful for my cute little niece, she is one loved girl

- for Delaney, i may not ever be a mom and she will be the closest thing i have to being a mom figure too

- music, it always puts me in a great mood! 

- tevis. He is my everything. He supports be and backs me on anything i do in life. He has allowed me to focus on school so one day i can I find a great job. 

I could go on for hours for what I am thankful for, but i will save them for next Thursday!

* Its almost 6pm and i am just now posting. Gotta keep my readers happy

* I was up until 4am last night watching my DVR shows, haha i knew i would not have time today 

* I was extremely relieved to have storm outta the house yesterday while she played at doggy daycare. It wore her out, she got to socialize with other dogs and i didn't have to stress about her getting into everything lol 

* i have some pretty big news to tell everyone, yet you all have to WAIT!!!!

* I am sitting here with a sweatshirt on and my hood up, ITS COLD

* i complain in the summer because i hate to be hot, guess what? you will hear my complain about winter, because i hate being cold!

* i wish my homework would do itself, i would really appreciate that

* i think money grows on trees. LOL 

* i am dreading making dinner, but need to save money and COOK. 

* i have more blogger friends then real life friends, my blogger friends are amazing!!!!

I hope everyone is having a great HUMP day and a great week so far. I have been focusing on getting homework done and entertaining Delaney, we have her for the week.

WEEKEND!

Happy Monday! Its just after 2pm and i am just not getting online to get started on homework for the week and get a post up for the day. 

I got my package out this morning to my lovely partner!  Don't forget to get you package out. Posts will go live next week to show off what ya got starting October 28th. 

I am a lover of football, always have been a colts fan, a Manning fan and still am even though he is now a Bronco. I was excited about this game and this game only, Colts vs Broncos. 

I was thinking this is going to be a great and memorable game. I am going to be glad i was at this game and etc etc. Everyone cheered for Peyton, i was excited to see him in the house he built, It had to of been so emotional for him. I am not sure if his emotions got the best of him or what but THE COLTS KICKED BUTT and It's Andrews house now! 

We won 39-30

Lucas Oil Stadium was off the hook last night! Took us an hour to get to our seats when normally it takes 20 minutes. I was pumped up, cheering and yelling the whole game. It was a great atmosphere and SUCH A HUGE WIN for the colts! 

Just heard today Reggie Wayne #87 is out for the rest of the season :( Torn ACL. I hope he gets better and has a speedy recovery to come back and kick butt next year.

Oh man do i love that man! I love that we share football together. 

We try to take Storm to doggy daycare once a week to Socialize her, let run and play outside all afternoon and as you can tell IT WORKS WONDERS. She is a 4 month old energetic puppy. This helps us too haha 

Erica and I throughout the years, have been best friends since middle school! We have been through so much but have finally realized we need each other and even though we are 2 hours apart we are the best of friends and always there for each other, Not a day goes by where we don't text. I love her! She blogs over at Loyal RUN, i wish she would get into it more but with time it'll come back :) I love ya girl 

Saturday morning was spent at target spending little too much money on myself and my partner! Enjoying a yummy pumpkin spice white mocha from Starbucks. 

Seen this on Facebook, i just need an ice tray but going to make these for Storm! 

Got some cute pictures of my niece over the weekend, she is so pretty and precious! 

I sure cant wait to see her in a few weeks!

I may have to try this recipe i am about to share when I am in Tennessee for our extended weekend adult vacation. 

Spiked apple pie punch

This party beverage works well both hot and cold. With one 750-milliliter bottle of grain alcohol, you can serve about 36 people and get them all feeling seasonal with the apple and cinnamon flavors.

 

Prep time: 5 minutes, Cook time: 30 minutes

 

Ingredients

• 1 gallon apple juice

• 1 gallon apple cider

• 3 cups white sugar

• 8 cinnamon sticks

• 1 bottle 190 proof grain alcohol (750 ml)

 

Directions

1. In a large pot, combine juice, cidar, sugar and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool completely.

2. When cool, stir in grain alcohol.

3. Transfer to large serving dish and let guests ladle into cups. Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks or apple slices, if desired.
